10. Mubarak Mandi Palace
This palace is built in Jammu and was a residential area of the Maharajah of Jammu who belonged to Dogra Dynasty. The Palace faces the Tawi River and is a situated in the center of old Jammu city. The Palace has the touch of three styles that includes Mughals, Rajasthani and Gothic style. The most remarkable and beautiful thing inside the palace is the Sheesh Mahal. This Sheesh mahal is all built from glass. The treasure place for small paintings, Dogra house is also built inside the Place. The paintings in this Dogra house comes from Jammu, Kangra and basholli school of arts.
This lake acquired its name from the trees that surrounds it. The lake is a beautiful deep blue colored lake. It is one of the most mesmerizing parts of Dal Lake and is sometimes referred to as jewel in the ring. The lake has a number of houseboats in it. 8. SHANKARACHARYA TEMPLE SRINAGAR
Overlooking the beautiful town of Srinagar, it is located at a height of 1100 feet on the hill known as takht –i-sulaiman. The shankaracharya temple after being renovated was covered with a modern ceiling. The temple is very well known among religious tourists and is known to have great religious importance and is a temple with great architectural importance as well. The temple has a great no of followers from all over the world and is a place flooded with tourists from all over the world. It is the best among all the Mughal gardens in Kashmir. It is situated on Dal Lake’s eastern side. It is located very close to Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. It is the second biggest garden in Kashmir after Shalimar Bagh, located on the shore lines of Dal Lake. The name Nishat Bagh means garden of Joy or Garden of Delight as well as Garden of gladness The garden was constructed in the year 1633 by Asif Khan. Pari Mahal is situated at the top of Zebanwan Mountains. It is a garden with seven terraces. The architecture of the garden is an example of Islamic architecture. The garden is located near Cheshmashahi in Srinagar. The garden is built by Prince Dara Shikoh. It is built around mid seventeenth century and is located over the ruins of Buddhist monastery. The garden was in a very devastated state until the time it was renovated. The maintenance of the garden is now done by the state government. 5. Bahu Fort
It is located in Jammu and was constructed by Raja Bahulochan. The Bahu Fort was built around 3,000 years ago by him. It is actually a religious place and within the temple you will find a temple of Goddess Kali, the Hindu Goddess. The fort is situated on a high plateau. There used to be forest surrounding the fort but now they have been turned into a beautiful park known by the name, “Bhave- ki- Bahu”. The image of the Goddess Mahakali situated in the fort was brought from Ayodhya. There are eight towers in the fort that are octagonal in shape and connected to the walls. The temple inside the fort is small in size and only few people can go inside at a time.

The place served as the resort for many renowned kings in the history of India like Jahangir and Yousuf Shah Chak who were the frequent visitor of this place. It was originally called as “GauriMarg “ but later Yousuf Shah Chak gave it the name Gulmarg which means the place of roses.
2. Dal Lake
Dal Lake is among the largest lakes in the world. It is a lake near Tota Rani and is above 1,775 m above the sea level. This lake is also known as the jewel in the crown of Jammu and Kashmir. The lake is a major tourist attraction in Srinagar and is also famous for many recreational activities. The lake is also used for many commercial uses like fishing and also for water plant harvesting. The shore line is beautified by many Mughal era gardens, houseboats, hotels and many beautiful parks. When the winters come the temperature reaches to -11 degree Celsius. This low temperature freezes the lake. Vaishno Devi mandir situated in the Vaishno Devi hills in Jammu and Kashmir is a Hindu Pilgrimage center The temple is dedicated to Mata Rani also known by the names Vaishno Devi, Vaishanvi and Shakti.
