Amitabh Bachchan is the one man army of Bollywood. Starting his career with movie “Saath Hindustani”. He is considered to be the first angry young man of the industry. Married to Jaya bachchan, he has a son and a daughter, named Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta. 10.) Desh Premee

This is the 10th best movie from Amitabh Bachchan released in 1982 directed by Manmohan Desai. AB had portrayed the role of a patriotic teacher to whom, his nation and motherland is everything. Master Dinanath was his character and the character of the son is also played by him only. As soon as India got its independence the roots of evil engulf the entire nation leaving ruins behind and this movie shows the effort of a single man to make reformation and changes. A must watch movie. The movie had some awesome tracksw including – “Mere deshpremiyo aapas me prem karo”.

 

9.) Satte Pe Satta

Another movie of AB in which he has played a dual role and with that too with total dedication and hard work. The story starts with the introduction of seven brothers named after the name of days. AB is the eldest called Ravi and the youngest brother is played by Sachin who was called Shani. The movie stars Hema malini as the love interest for Senior AB and then on his brothers too follow the same footsteps his brother did. The movie ends with a reformation of man who was bad in the movie with his love interest got to him as well. The movie  is directed by Raj Sippy in year 1982.

 

8.) Kaalia

A movie directed by Tinnu Anand in year 1981 which shows the change is a guy who is treated badly and roughly by the so called high class of the society. After being left shattered and jailed for a year, Kallu becomes Kaalia, the character played by Amitabh Bachchan. One of the most dedicated work from AB and his acting has shown the exact personification of an actor and man. The movie casts Pran as Inspector Raghubir. Other casts include Parveen Bobby, Kader Khan.

 

7.) Namak Halaal

Another hit and top blockbuster of year 1982 directed by Prakash Mehra. The movie casts include Shashi Kapoor other than Amitabh bachchan and some of the best villain of the era namely Ranjeet, Kader Khan and etc. This movie is based on a village-boy ending up his story in a royal kingdom where his mother is the royal king. He has portrayed the role of Arjun Singh. One of the best comedy film of all time. AB has made the fun of English language in this very movie with his classic style of dialogue and speech.”Pag ghunghru baandh meera nachi thi” is the famous song of this movie which is the favorite of all classes even today and can be heard often.

The best movie from the 80’s is Shaan. This movie casts the then super heroes of the industry and had laden down the story path with its success. The movie stars included Shtrughan Sinha, Shashi Kapoor, Sunil Dutt other than Amitabh Bachchan with their love interests. Sunil plays the role of an honest cop named as Shiv Kumar and his two brothers are all time crook making money through their bad habits and attentions. The movie takes a turn when shiv kumar is mysteriously killed and brothers turn up for revenge teaming up with Shatrughan Sinha.

This is the first movie of AB era which installed him as the angry young man of the industry after his all movies had fallen awfully on the box office. He has portrayed the role of a cop and he swears to eradicate crime from the society and in this mid of fighting with the crime, some of his childhood memories and past get uncovered which allows him to seek revenge from his family enemy who killed his family. Pran is also in the movie as one of the friend of AB.A must watch the first hit of Amit ji. 🙂 🙂

 

4.) Don

One of the hits of AB released in year 1978 directed by Chandra Barot. This was the tym when movies relating underworld were common and AB was the first to portray the role of an Underworld DON. In fact the DON of the movie is killed in the encounter and police re-installs VIjay a DON look-alike on to his position to get all the details regarding underworld and to finish them over all. The movie  takes turn in between at the last when DCP is killed and VIjay is left all alone to prove his innocence. The famous song “Khaike Paan Banaras wala” is from this movie only.

 

3.) Naseeb

The classic and the hit blockbuster of 1980’s is Naseeb. The movie portrays Amitabh Bachchan as a guy loving all religions and his name is the movie is John Johnny Janardhan. The movie casts Pran, Hema malini, Rishi Kapoor, Rina ROy and Shatrughan Sinha. One of the best family movie from Manmohan Desai. However at the end the movie overs with its classic all happy ending and leaves the audiences in a happy mode to see the brilliant acting from AB and other casts of the movie. A must watch. 2.) Deewar

One of the best family movie of all time in Bollywood. This movie shows the differences as in between the two brothers although being brought up by same mother. One becomes the Cop while other becomes the successful Underworld goon and thinks of providing all the luxuries to his mother. The two brothers come in to a clash which leaves the entirety shattered and end of the movie as usual so tragic that it shows how heights you reach, you will fall if your deeds are not good. At the end, the movie shows an emotional scene between a mother and a son. The famous dialogue ” Khush to bahut hoge aaj tum” is delivered in this movie by AB to god when he visits a temple at the time of his end.

 

1.)  Sholay

The best of class movie of all time from AB is Sholay which casts Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Hema malini etc. The movie is directed by Ramesh Sippy in 1975. One of the classic and action packed movie of 70’s. The plot of the story is based from a small village Ramgarh, where the people live in the fear and tyranny of a Dacoit Gabbar Singh. The movie saw the rise of a new villain of industry as Amzad Khan. The movie ends with a happy ending although, AB is dead at the end while he clicks on his famous coin which has the same faces on both the sides.
