When you go HDTV shopping, there are quite a few things that you look for before finally settling for one. You might like the resolution and refresh rate of a TV but its price might be too expensive. If the price is good, there might be some compromise on picture quality. The reasons is simply that there are far too many TVs to make a choice from.
Below is a list of HDTVs that, according to consumers and salesmen, were the most sought after devices.
10. Samsung PN51E490B4F
From a TV with a price tag of $689.99, you would not really expect too much of picture quality and a huge size. This TV however, surprises us with not only its 51-inch plasma screen, but also a nice and sharp picture quality. If this was not enough, you even get active 3D with a couple of pairs of 3D glasses.
9. Samsung PN51E6500EF
Priced at $1,250, you get a great combination of good picture quality, a large display size and tons of extra features. The prices and packages are very tempting.
8. Sharp Elite Pro-60X5FD
This is one of the more expensive HDTVs but when you see your movies on its giant 60-inch display, you would know where every last cent of yours went when you paid for it. Priced at $4,599, the good things about this TV can only be known after spending some time with it. It is also available in a 70-inch version.
7. Vizio M3D651SV
This is one of the mid-range 3D LED TVs. For $1,600 you get a full HD display of 65 inches, bright and crisp picture and host of other features like WiFi and web apps.
6. LG 55LM6700
Priced the same as the above TV, you get pretty much the same features. The remote control is quite quirky, however, and it might take some getting used to.
5. Panasonic TC-P55ST50
This HDTV, which is 55 inches and priced at $1,300, can also be bought in 50 and 65 inch versions. The colors are accurate and the performance nice. However, the brightness of the panel is not that great and you do not get a pair of 3D glasses as part of the deal.
4. Sharp Aquos LC-60LE640U
You might not find the user interface of these HDTVs as polished as those of some of the other entries on this list, but for $1,250 you get a pretty good deal.
3. Sony Bravia KDL-55HX850
Sony has really made some strides in the HDTV market and we can see that the first priority of customers when shopping for HDTVs is Sony. This is one of the premiere models of the Sony Bravia series with a host of exciting web features.
