10. Gandhi: my father
Gandhi my father is an 2007 indian movie. Directed by Feroz Abbas Khan and produced by Anil Kapoor, and released on 3 Aug 2007. Movie depicts the relationship among Gandhi and his son Harilal Gandhi. This is the story of a man who lived in the eternal shadow of his father, striving to discover his identity. Also reflects the biopic of Gandhi’s struggle behind Independence.
9. Netaji Subhash chandra Bose: The forgotten hero
The film which is about the last five years of Indian leader Subhash Chandra Bose’s life. who is best known by his slogan-“tum muje khoon do main tumhe azaadi dunga”, also includes his life ‘s story since struggling for independence. However, it does not cover the death controversy of Bose. This movie is directed by Shayam Benegal and starring by Ila Arun, Pankaj Berry and Nicolas chagrin, made in English language, realeased in 13 May 2005.
This is a movie that went on to be India’s nomination for the Oscar’s that year. This is film is set on the harsh period of India’s colonial British-Raj & revolves around the high tax pay policies applied by the British on villagers. Movie attracts the youngsters by its cricket match that is played in his movie by villagers against Britishers. The movie released on 15 June 2001 starring Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh.
7. Mangal Pandey: The Rising
Mangal Pandey: The Rising: released in India on 12 Aug,2005. It is directed by Ketan Mehta, produced by Bobby Bedi and screenplay by Farrukh Dhondi.This movie is based on the life of Mangal Pandey, who is known for his role as a soldier in Indian mutiny of 1857. Mangal pandey whose contribution is remebrable in our history. Aamir Khan played an lead role Mangal Pandey who was a Sepoy whose actions helped spark the Indian rebellion of 1857.
Karma is a 1986 Bollywood film directed by Subhash Ghai. Karma is the story deals with the jailer turning into a Dada, who has plan to get revenge against those who killed his family. The movie deals with a lot of insinuated idea of independence and freedom. Film reveals the real love for the country. It stars Dilip Kumar, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah etc. Movie is led by an awesome patriotic songs, but the best one is “Aye wattan tere liye” sung by Kavita krishanmurthy and Mohammad Aziz.
Kranti is a movie that is based in 19th century India, under the British Rule produced and directed by Manoj Kumar along with large cast. It highlights the fifty year’s of India between 1825-1857. The movie depicts the story of two men who wage the war against the oppressive British rule- Bharat and Sanga, played by Manoj Kumar and Dilip Kumar. Movie has just one slogan- an independent India called as Kranti.
Sardar is an Indian biopic on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of India’s greatest freedom fighter commenly referred to as the Iron Man of India.This movie is directed by Ketan Mehta and written by noted playwright Vijay Tendulkar and released in 1993. Movie depicts the different “Indian National Movements” taken during the struggling days of independence, how he lead the Satyagrah in Gujrat along with Gandhi ji. The film then moves to the age of Quit India Movement and India’s freedom.
3. Shaheed Bhagat Singh of 1963
The handsome Shammi Kapoor is one of our earliest memories of Bhagat Singh in the film, Shaheed Bhagat Singh of 1963, directed by K.N Bansal. And though Shammi wasn’t the first actor to play Bhagat Singh on screen, he is one of the most memorable ones to do so.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh movie directed by Rajkumar Santoshi starring Ajay Devgan released in the year 2002, where he plays the role of one of the popular freedom fighters in the country. this movie is based on era of “british-raj” and the struggle of Bhagat Singh to get the Independence. The most inspiring part of this movie is “Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna ” make feels the every one proud. The movie bagged two National Award for best featured film in hindi and three Filmfare Award followed by Filmfare Critics Award for best movie. This movie gives the new definition to Indian cinema in respect to patriotic movie.
