Art has long been used by people to let their thoughts be known to the world. Long before people learned to write, paintings and pictures were used by the people to convey information. “A picture is worth a thousand words” has probably become a cliché by now, but the meaning of this saying can be known after looking at a few works of art that we have no choice but to stare at for a long time.

We don’t really know who the Jewish Bride exactly is, but we suspect this is a deliberate move by the artist. Regardless, just looking at the expressions given by the two people in the picture, we come to know just how much two people are capable of caring for each other.

This portrait of a preteen girl somewhat reminds us of the Mona Lisa painting. There is just the right amount of innocence, purity and simplicity on the face of this young woman who is on the verge of womanhood.
